Coachella 2017 recap

fullsizerender-3

Been too long. Recap throwback to Palm Spring (Coachella) – LA – NYC.

Over a month ago in the end of April, I had a 10-day vacay in the States. The main purpose was to take part of the Coachella Festival (Weekend 2), which was amazing but also mega exhausting at the same time. I and my two good friends from Finland (Jirka and Isa) were super excited and pumped. WE ARE GOING TO COACHELLA.
Had high expectations and I mean the whole lineup was lit!

I could discuss and analyse forever about the whole Chella experience but I?ll keep it short. Ofc the whole planning started months before and we just wanted to make the whole experience memorable. The festival was amazing, the best one I?ve ever been yet. And for me personally, I?m happy I did it. We expected to hang with celebs and that Kendall will be our buddy the whole journey. (Since it was a second festival weekend we attended, there weren’t that many celebs left on that weekend, they all go on the first Coachella weekend, I saw few Z-list celebs tho)

This year Coachella lineup was, as they said the best one yet. Can completely agree. We had in total me and my friends around 50 or even more artists who we wanted to see. Ended up seeing only around 10 of them or less. There are like gazillion reasons why you can?t see them all.
Either you: See some artist – run to see another one – want to take photos in between – relax – pee – buy drinks – eat – take more photos – relax more – enjoy the atmosphere – see around – (already missed 20 artist) – see shows – repeat – take again photos, cuz Insta needs updates and so on and so on.

Te festival is cool, the weather is amazing (which makes like 80% of the whole experience) constant 30-40C degrees, people are so well dressed – a lot of people put lots of effort on their outfits, which is so cool and inspiring. Coachella is really clean, no sloppiness or mega drunk people. And in the same time, you can enjoy some masterclass artists. We sort of expected that the festival will be magical, and kind of out of this world experience. However, can’t say that it was mehh and we are disappointed just I think our expectations were SUPER high. So, we still had so much fun and I think it was worth it if you are together with your friends.

My fav shows were Banks, The XX, Röyksopp, Tove Lo, SOHN, Lorde and ofc LADY GAGA.

After Coachella, we just spent a short week in LA, strolled around, shopped, and etc. After that, I flew to NYC for few days to catch up with my friends and be part of my friends birthday party.

That?s a quick recap of my US trip.

If I would ever go back to Coachella?
Maybe, most probably I will, would love to take part of the first weekend and be VIP. (Dreams do come true, so I’ll continue dreaming) But I totes recommend to go, cool and fun experience.

Mega thanks to H&M Eesti and to Levi’s Estonia for stocking my festival outfits with cool pieces.

Here?s some pics of my trip.

Cheers.
