Grabbing 2017 by the…

I’m on a plane, flying back to Copenhagen from Estonia. I feel it’s time to write down some thoughts on what?s with my life. Where am I, what has happened and just to take a look back to 2016 and figure out how I foresee 2017?

A lot has been going on, a lot has happened, a lot has changed. Many new people have come to my life but also many have left. I?ve learned that one part of growing up is finding the right people next to you who will always be there. For me personally, it doesn’t matter how often I chat with them online or get in touch in person. I know, and they know, I’m always there and available, even though we are living in completely different countries, time zones, have hectic schedules and can barely keep up with our own lives. In the end of the day, I can always count on them and know that I have somebody who I can truly trust.

There have been quite a few years now where I’ve been searching myself, figured it out at some point, only to get lost and end up finding myself again and again. I guess it’s all part of the “growing up process,” for some it’s more confusing than to others. I?m still definitely finding myself even though in my age I guess many people are pretty sure what they want from their lives.

I?m definitely not one of them.

That is why I won?t make any promises nor any big announcements. Maybe it’s the millennials thing that we are so uncertain and we are keeping our options open. You know, like that cliche says ‘life is an ongoing journey’.

One wise and a rather close person once told me that it’s okay to make mistakes, make many mistakes but it’s important to recall back, what went wrong and learn from it and not to make the same mistakes again. This is basically my life motto: be brave, be bold take risks but of course, take responsibility, too. I guess the boldest moves in my life have been moving to Denmark, then moving to Copenhagen, reaching out to people who I’ve always looked up to and also handling the “grown-up-life” decisions in a grown-up way – but who knows, who can actually tell what is the right or ?grown-up? way to handle life.

What I am proud of, is that I can’t really say that THE MAIN reason why I ever came to Denmark is finally done, over, slut! I GRADUATED University and I got a Bachelor?s Degree in Digital Concept Development. Complicated to explain what it is exactly, but basically, it?s digital marketing through digital channels. Crazy to think, this super important chapter is over and done. I’m so happy about it. Not that I wasn’t happy to attend uni, quite the opposite ? I was curious to meet new people and most importantly, learn and study new things. However, it felt like forever. It took me 3.5 years to finish this degree and I felt that okay. It was always like ?c?mon, the last BIG step and I am done?. And I did it!

I’ve finished University with a punch of super good friends, I can’t imagine my life without them. Moreover, I’ve seen the world, I’ve had the chance to travel, I’ve got lots of great contacts, at the moment I’ve settled in Copenhagen, I’ve had two amazing internships, where the latest one turned into a full-time job at a fashion company. I’m just so amazingly lucky and most importantly thankful that I got such an opportunity to do what I like ?  I got a Social Media Coordinator position after my internship at CIFF, which is a Copenhagen International Fashion Fair.

In 2017 I expect to focus on my career – gain experience, work hard, learn more about social media. I?m looking into the future with an excitement, with an ambition and last but not the least, the hope of finding love.

I think it’s never too late to wish you all an adventurous, safe and exciting new year!

And here’s a shoot I did a few days ago with a good friend @byqueenbee
